Volunteer at HCA!
HCA benefits greatly from the talents and time of many dedicated volunteers. The volunteer support enriches the overall experience through community relationships and helps to enhance our school events and programs. Below are some of the areas and opportunities where you can get involved along with the contact person.
Please note that in order to volunteer at HCA you will need to provide a Police Information Check (PIC) on a yearly basis. Information and instructions are sent out in June and August so that you can have this prepared in advance, or you can contact the main office for details on how to apply for your PIC.
Classroom Volunteers / Field Trip Supervisors
Teachers are in contact with parents as to what is happening in their classrooms and what might be needed for support. Once field trip days are scheduled, teachers will contact parents for additional supervision. Remember to have your Police Information Check completed and on file so that you are eligible to volunteer for these activities as they arise.
Volunteer to be a part of our school council parent advisory. Committee positions are available or you can just join in the monthly meetings to offer your support and ideas. Contact email@example.com
Used Uniform Sale
Occurs 3 times through-out the school year. Volunteers help to sort, organize, price, and sell all the items that come in from our families. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping out.
Events at HCA
Information Nights – Three times a year we invite potential new families to come tour the HCA campus, learn about our school, and meet some of our staff and students. Parents are welcome to help represent our community and share about their experiences. Please contact email@example.com if you want more information.
Hangout Events – Hangout events happen through-out the year and are aimed at developing community with our students and families. Events are offered for specific grades and include fun activities like glow-in-the-dark dodgeball, paint night, BattleBalls soccer, open gym nights, etc... Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping to plan and coordinate Hangouts.
Fall Retreats – Every fall some of our grades have spiritual retreats. They travel to Camp and take the time to worship and focus on the spiritual theme for the year. Retreats present a fun experience for students and an opportunity for the various grades to develop deeper connections as a community and in their faith. Overnight Retreats include Grade 6 at Camp Chestermere, Grade 9, 10-11 & 12 at Circle Square Ranch. Grade 7-8 takes a day trip to Camp Chestermere. Contact Mrs. Kaiser, Vice Principal Secondary HERE if you are interested in volunteering with Retreats.
